eSIM Setup Tutorial
Learn how to activate and use your eSIM for seamless connectivity during international travel
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A compatible device (iPhone XS or later, or Android device with eSIM support)
- An active DaksonGlobal account
- A stable internet connection (WiFi or cellular data)
- Your device unlocked (if using a carrier-locked device, check with your carrier)
Setup Instructions
Purchase an eSIM Plan
Open the DaksonGlobal app and navigate to the "eSIM" section. Browse available data plans for your destination country and select a plan that suits your needs.
Choose from various data amounts and validity periods (7 days, 15 days, or 30 days).
Receive Your eSIM QR Code
After purchase, you'll receive an eSIM QR code via email and in the app. This QR code contains all the information needed to activate your eSIM.
Keep this QR code safe - you'll need it to activate the eSIM on your device.
Activate on iPhone
For iPhone users:
- Go to Settings → Cellular
- Tap "Add Cellular Plan"
- Scan the QR code or enter the details manually
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation
Activate on Android
For Android users:
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network
- Tap "Add" or "Download a SIM instead"
- Scan the QR code or enter the activation code
- Follow the prompts to complete setup
Configure Your Device
Once activated, configure your device settings:
- Set the eSIM as your primary data connection when traveling
- Keep your regular SIM active for calls and texts (if needed)
- Enable data roaming for the eSIM
- Select the eSIM network manually if automatic selection doesn't work
Start Using Your eSIM
Your eSIM is now active! You can start using data immediately. Monitor your data usage in the DaksonGlobal app and top up if needed.
